The Ulfhednar, also known as Wolves of Odin, were ancient Viking warriors who were said to have possessed supernatural abilities and were greatly feared on the battlefield, not unlike their more recognizable colleagues, the Berserkers

The Ulfhednar wore wolf pelts as a symbol of their connection to the spirit of the wolf.
